Wedding - How we work

The first meeting
Following your initial enquiry we are always keen to meet our clients face to face. This meeting allows you and your partner to get to know us a little better plus it allows us to find out what you really want from the day too. To make things as convenient as possible we are happy to head over to you. This is also of course our opportunity to present examples of our portfolios and your opportunity to ask us lots (and lots) of questions.

The pre-wedding shoot
Once you decide you want to go ahead and book us for your wedding day we will then arrange the pre-wedding shoot, which helps you understand our approach a little better plus it allows you to get relaxed in front of our lens and in our presence. For more information visit our blog.

The day itself
We generally like to start the day with the bridal preparations. This will involve natural and un-posed shots of the brides, bridesmaids and others in her party. The purpose of these shots is to also capture the build-up and emotions to the main event. This will also include some very intricate and quirky shots of the dress, the shoes, the flowers and all the other small details that are given so much time and dedication choosing but that often get overlooked. At the same time we will also have a photographer with the Groom and his party getting ready and then follow them up to where the ceremony is being held; at this point guests will also be arriving and welcomed by the groom. The ceremony will then be photographed, and with the assistance of the ushers or best man, getting all the friends and family members together for any group shots that you may want. For the remainder of the day we will unobtrusively capture all the emotion, atmosphere and candid moments as they unfold, mingling with the guests at the same time. We would also suggest taking 30 - 45 minutes or so out of the afternoon where we can head off for a private shoot with just the two of you.

The editing
Once the wedding day is over is where the fun really begins with the digital post-production of all the images captured on the day using image enhancement software such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.

The presentation
On your return from the honeymoon we will meet with you to present all the images from the day on DVD; it is then over to you to select the imagery for the storybook album. We are unique in the fact that all of our packages include all the edited images, meaning there are no additional charges when we present the photos to you (unless you wish to order additional products from us).
